The TeachTech Award was created by the School at Columbia University and launched at the NALS Conference in 2006. In 2007, management of the program and its adjudication transitioned to the Columbia Center for New Media Teaching and Learning (CCNMTL). The TeachTech Award selection panel has included: Gardner Dunnan, former Associate Provost for Special Projects, Columbia University; Ryan Kelsey, PhD, Associate Director, CCNMTL; Robbie McClintock, Professor of Communication, Computing, and Technology, Teachers College; Frank Moretti, Director, CCNMTL and Professor of Communication and Education, Teachers College.
The TeachTech Award is generously funded by private donors.
